Hon. Malachy Agbo, Ph.D., is a seasoned journalist with 20+ years of experience. He holds degrees in Mass Communication from the University of Nigeria and the University of Lagos. In 2022, he earned a Ph.D. in Mass Communication from ESUT. His career includes roles at THISDAY Newspapers and Diamond Bank Plc. He founded THE CITIZEN, an online newspaper promoting good governance. In 2016, he became Caretaker Chairman of Igbo-Etiti LGA, then elected Chairman in 2017. He served as a Senior Special Assistant and is currently the Commissioner for Human Development and Poverty Eradication in Enugu State. He is active in professional associations and is married with children.
